Bastille day

Bastille day comes once a year
People arriving in good cheer
Waiting in anticipation
For fireworks to start on this special occasion.

Suddenly a loud bang begins
People cheer in the cool winds
Then a flash, an array of colours
Dance and weave to the music that follows

Rockets soar high in the sky
Some children too scared and cry
It gives them such a fright
Yet the beauty fills the night.
